Admission is free and you can get more details from the venue’s website.

Royal Albert Hall – Live album to be recorded

By popular demand we are happy to announce that we will record the Royal Albert Hall Dazzle Ships/Architecture and Morality show and release it immediately as a 2CD package after the show. It will be available to purchase on the night for collection after the show has finished. Alternatively it can be pre-ordered online and will be dispatched the morning after the show (so that those who are unable to make the show are also able to purchase). Please note that all online pre-orders will be shipped the following morning – in order to collect after the show you must buy it at the venue.

There will also be a download option (which will be available the day after the show) and a triple vinyl set (which will ship in mid-June). A bundle of the 2CD package and the vinyl is also available – the CD will ship on the morning after the show and the vinyl will ship once it is ready.

Unlike last year’s live CD/DVD release which was lovingly mixed and mastered by Paul Humphreys, this recording will be taken straight from the sound board on the night. In this way it will capture an instant snapshot of the energy of the live show and will be available to fans the moment the gig is finished.

Live at the Museum of Liverpool – Released today

Our new live CD/DVD "Dazzle Ships Live at the Museum of Liverpool" is released today. We are very proud of this release which documents a very special weekend at the Museum of Liverpool last year.

If you had not already ordered your copy, the store will remain open until October 2nd. After that time, we cannot guarantee that the CD/DVD will still be available for purchase, so order now to avoid disappointment.

Also available is a limited edition picture disc of the live Dazzle Ships tracks. Additionally, the live concert film is available in HD as a digital download for those who are unable to play the DVD or who would prefer an HD format.

Hannah Peel Live

Live at the Museum of Liverpool: Picture Disc

We’re pleased to announce the anticipated release of a 12" picture disc compiling the live recordings of the Dazzle Ships tracks performed at the Museum of Liverpool. This release follows the competition we ran asking fans to suggest items to add to our PledgeMusic campaign. Those who suggested picture discs have been contacted and have won a free copy.

Due to the expensive nature of manufacturing picture discs to the highest quality, this project will only go ahead if we have 300 pre-orders by August 17th. Any pre-orders above this number will also be manufactured, however the picture disc will never be repressed, so order now if you would like to secure your copy of this beautiful collector’s item. Please note that picture discs take a while to manufacture, so the expected delivery date will be around late November/early December.

Pre-order here.

Side A:
Radio Waves
Genetic Enginnering
Dazzle Ships (Parts II, III & VII)

Side B:
The Romance of the Telescope
Dazzle Ships (Parts I, IV, V & VI) – Bonus Track

The design of the picture disc is as follows

Listen to Jon Hopkins deliver a showcase of album and live show influences for BBC Essential Mix

The Mercury Prize nominee crafts a personal mix for BBC’s Essential Mix series.

Jon Hopkins is the latest artist to deliver an Essential Mix for BBC Radio 1.

The two-hour long selection sees the producer take a personal approach, with music that has influenced his recent work and live shows:

It feels amazing to join a line up that has included so many people whose music I admire. I put a lot of work into this, trying to showcase the tracks that have influenced my recent album and live shows, and trying to build a musical structure and journey over the two hours. I really hope everyone enjoys it.

You can listen back via the BBC iPlayer (for UK residents) or via CoreNews.
