Zebra And Snake to support OMD

Classic 80s new wave and modern synth-laden pop will assemble onstage as electronic icons Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark announce Zebra and Snake as their support for the German leg of their worldwide History of Modern Tour. These two bands are separated by generations but brought together by an affinity for electronic music.

Zebra and Snake are a Finnish duo comprised of best friends Tapio and Matti. The boys have a knack for blending analogue electronics and haunting vocals to transform into the beastly alter egos that comprise their moniker, Zebra and Snake. 2011 will see them perform two other German dates, Nordic by Nature at Magnet Club as well as Silverwings at Popkomm before the release of their album ‘Healing Music’, due in the new year.

Andy McCluskey said "I had the great surprise and delight to discover Zebra and Snake at the By Larm music festival in Oslo this year. The band sent me a demo of their soon to be first album and it became my constant listening companion. We are honoured to have the band play with us on our forthcoming concerts."

DATES:
1 September 2011 – Cologne Tanzbrunnen, GERMANY
2 September 2011 – Hamburg Stadtpark, GERMANY
5 September 2011 – Berlin IFA – Sommergarten, GERMANY
6 September 2011 – Schwerin Freilichtbuehn, GERMANY
