Toffeetones / Tenek

Incredible News!
:toffeetones: Records signed-up as site sponsor..
I’m REALLY chuffed about this, as I’m a BIG fan of TENEK, Louis Gordon and Martin Carradus.

That’s not all! I’m sitting here listening to the Pre-Release Promo Mp3 Version of TENEK’s forthcoming album, “On The Wire”!!!

It’s a stonking, electronic beat-fest, with clear influences from the likes of Ultravox (Both Versions), Gary Numan, John Foxx and Cabaret Voltaire. The vocals are distinctive and truly excellent, and the production is spot-on.

Stand-out tracks for me are Under My Skin, No Time for Fighting, and the first single, “Blinded by You”.

The album is released on 6th September, and you can pre-order from :toffeetones: Records NOW!

Daybehavior – City Lights

These guys just asked me to check out their latest single, City Lights.
And WOW!, it’s excellent.
Hints of John Foxx, Kraftwerk, and Numan in there. But with a female lead vocal. Magic

Better still, they are giving it away for free, here: Daybehavior – City Lights

We are daybehavior. Formed in Stockholm 1994 by Paulinda Crescentini,Tommy Arell and Carl Hammar. Heavy influenced by the early electronic music and film scores we are now working on our 3rd album, which is planned to be released this fall.
A new song, City Lights, is now available on FREE download and streaming from our website.

This track also features on ROBOCASTADIO – EPISODE 44 – SYNTH in the City

From John Foxx’s myspace blog:

John Foxx and The Maths is the name given to the work written and produced by John Foxx and Benge.

They are planning to release their first collaboration (a digital single – Destination / September Town) this side of Christmas exclusively through Townsend Records. The tracks will get a wider release through iTunes (etc) in the new year.

Have you listened to BENGE (Ben Edwards, John Foxx’s new collaborator(s)) ???
WOW! Analog Heaven!

Benge Discography

“twentysystems” appears to be the same concept as Martin Carradus’ “Analogue” album..

I can’t wait to hear the new stuff with John..
