Concrete Jingles by The Twelve Hour Foundation

Concrete Jingles by The Twelve Hour Foundation

You may remember The Lighter Side of Concrete by The Twelve Hour Foundation, a masterly homage to the Radiophonic Workshop’s John Baker and a popular Ghost Box Guest album. They have a new download album of jingles and library-esque pieces in the BBC tradition. It’s called Concrete Jingles and it’s in aid of a very good cause, as Jez Butler of the band explains…

“This mini-album / EP was planned following the news that our friend Robert Baldock had suffered a stroke. Robert (aka DJ Bongoboy) will be familiar to many as one of the two voices behind The Project Moonbase podcast, and has offered much support and encouragement to The Twelve Hour Foundation over the past four years: broadcasting our music, promoting us via social media, and, on one occasion, driving to a gig in Scotland to lend us a synth when our Moog’s power supply died.

All proceeds from this album will be donated to The Charles Bell Pavilion (brain and neurological rehabilitation) the unit within the Astley Ainslie Hospital where Robert is currently undergoing various therapies.

We wish him a speedy recovery!”

…as do all at Ghost Box
